Cathy,
     Two things come to mind when I think of your beautiful mom.  First:  when you & I went out shopping for flowers to plant in your new yard so when  Mary came home from Calif. after visiting with her brother she’d be surprised & happy to see such a beautiful yard The kicker to this whole story was that the one petunia to the left front side of the garage kept growing & growing and she just was amazed how big and beautiful it  spread.
     Second:  time for an oil change for your nice new car which meant going to Fairfield to get it.  I wanted your mom to see how unique Jungle Jim’s was so we had the dealership drop us off  to doa little shopping and this allowed her to pick her favorite - fresh,delicious kale!  I was happy for her since you can’t get the same grocery items at Kroger’s.
     Finally I won’t forget the time you were working in Cincy and shecame to visit you from Gary.  You didn’t want to leave her at your place all day so I offered to show her around the city.  Right off the bat I took her to Mt. Adams because of it’s history, knew. where I wanted to eat lunch at the historical restaurant they made from a kiln where all the famous pottery was made here in the city into a restaurant.  My first stop was the beautiful church (know as Our Lady’s Church).  I didn’t have a clue if she’d appreciate it but I knew you loved the Lord so hoped she did also. The overlook of the city is why many people go to Mt. Adams also - another reason to take her to that spot.  No doubt in my mind she appreciated the tour.

     My lasting memory of your mom is what a beautiful  Christian lady she was.  The prayer Jesus taught us, The Lord’s Prayer, “thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”, was truly lived out in her life.  Her GPS was her Bible and she used it well!

     May God bless you and shower you with His graces as He did her.  I will always continue my prayers for you knowing the God we serve is truly an awesome God! :blush:
