Michael R. Hess, Jr., 72 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Michael and Dorothy Brown Hess. Michael was a beloved husband, loving father and caring grandfather. He was a hard worker who gave 31 years of service to Armco Steel. Michael is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen Hess; 2 sons, Chris Ingrid Schuyler and Ron Hess; his son-in-law, Jimmy Turner; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Turner, Caroline Hess, Cody Hess, and Emily Turner; 2 brothers, John Vickie Hess and Jim Janie Hess; and his sister, Saundra Doug Lowe. Michael's family suffered the tragic loss of his daughter, Heidi Turner the same day. He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Brittany Turner. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7 at noon at the First United Methodist Church, Middletown with Reverend John Wagner officiating.
