Mildred “Millie” Francis, born 9/3/1933 passed away 9/5/2022 in Bradenton, Fl. at the age of 89. She is survived by 3 sons, Paul Alexander (Marjorie) Patrick Jay, and August Shaun (Sonya) Francis. Two Daughters; Suzanne Marie (Gregory) Slamka, and Rita Ann Frost. Proud grandmother of Connie Sue (Keith) Henry, Hollie Nicole Bumgardner, Ronald Alexander (Chelsea)Francis, Celina Marie (Keegan) Woolridge, Angela Marie (Chris) Paulsen, Annalea, Cyril "Cy" & Elizabeth Ann Francis. Derek (Nicole) &, Rebekah Knox Great-grandmother of Cameron & Kayla Bumgardner, Caliyah, K.J. and Sienna Hatch. Kira, Kalista & Kaydence Miller, Natalie Marie Paulsen, Ophelia & Parker Woolridge, Brooklyn & Adalyn Francis, Peyton & Zaiden Michael. Great-great grandmother to Kayden Kelly.
Two sisters, Margaret Rice of Tipp City and Alma & Tom Mellinger of Prescott, AZ. Two brothers-in-law, Carl of Union City, OH, Edwin Francis of New Carlisle, Ohio & David Paul Francis of California. A sister in-law, Mary Brush of Troy, Ohio. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Cyril Alexander Francis. A son in-law, John David Frost, her parents, Alfred & Barbara (Gross) Stricker. Five brothers; Alfred, Charles, Edwin & John "Jack" Stricker. Two sisters; Cecilia Freisthler & Delores Drees.
Millie was a graduate of Piqua Catholic High School & Mercy Central School of Nursing in Springfield, OH. After moving to Middletown, Ohio in 1968, along with her nursing career, Millie acquired her realtor license in 1973. She enjoyed being a sales agent with Jack Harkrader Real Estate in Middletown. She was an avid knitter, artist, cook and Euchre player. Millie was happiest, working in her kitchen. Cooking & baking for her family, neighbors, and friends. She was very generous with her culinary skills and was best known for her holiday Peanut Brittle & Caramels. She was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bradenton, FL., and loyal member of The American Legion & Disabled American Vets.
A Celebration of Millie’s Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, Oct 8th, 2022, at Anderson Funeral, Franklin, OH. Followed by burial at Woodhill Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided after services at The Celebration of Life building.
