Monnie Leigh Lakes

Monnie Leigh Lakes, age 68, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Hospice. She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on January 22, 1949 to the late Richard "Tucker" LeMaster and Betty Lou Preston.

She was an avid UK Basketball and Bengal's fan. Monnie was deeply loved by her four girls and everyone that knew her. She never met a stranger. Monnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Tackett; second husband, Leroy Lakes; brother, Dwayne Preston; two sisters, Penny Ritchie and Charlotte Howard.

Monnie is survived by her four daughters, Tamra (Steve) Bartlett, Laura Allen, Debra (Joe) Gillespie, Jodi Tackett; sister, Tina (O'Dell) Pyles; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and her special dog Tinker Bell.

Funeral services are Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 1:00pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio. Burial will follow in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to service from 11:00am to 1:00pm also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Anderson Funeral Home.
