

Nina L. Eck, 76 of Farmersville, passed away Sunday morning at Kettering Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1940 in Ellenboro, West Virginia, the daughter of David and Juanita (Griffith) McElwain. She graduated from Carlisle High School in 1959. Nina retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. Nina is survived by her daughter, Sondra (husband, Kevin) Gephart of Dayton; sons, Jerry (wife, Cheryl) Eck II of Camden, Ohio, Douglas (wife, Penny) Eck of Kailua, Kona, Hawaii, Jeff (wife, Carla) Eck of Farmersville; seven grandchildren, Shawn (wife, Andrea) Tucker, Steven (Ally Curliss) Tucker, Byron (wife, Alisha) Eck, all of Eaton, Ohio, Elizabeth (husband, Joshua) Leard of Valley Lee, Maryland, Nicholas (wife, Adrianna) Eck of Camden, Ohio, Chloe Eck, and Olivia Eck of Farmersville; four great grandchildren, Alyssa, Wynston, Joshua II, and Ava; her brother, William (wife, Pauline) McElwain of Camden; and numerous extended family and friends. She was beloved by her family and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Eck and infant son; her brother Gale (wife, Nancy) McElwain; her parents and step mother, Lucy McElwain. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Stephen Betts officiating. Interment will be at the Miltonville Cemetery.
