Oleta LeVangie

Oleta Gaye LeVangie (Yocum), aged 73, of Franklin OH, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, went to be with The Lord, early Tuesday morning, February 14, 2023, at Kettering Medical Center. Oleta was born in Frenchburg KY, October 8, 1949

Oleta was married, to her one true love, Robert J LeVangie for 54 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother of two daughters, Kristin and Jennifer and grandson Seth.

She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her family and country. In her children, she instilled a great love for books, classic movies, 50’s and 60’s Rock & Roll and Motown. She loved to be creative and see if she could figure out how things worked, so she could repair it, or sometimes, ruin it, like soldering wires in an old TV, lamp or stereo. She had a contagious laugh and enjoyed playing games and having fun.

Oleta was preceded in death, by her parents Marie (Ratliff) Yocum and Edmond Cloyd Yocum and her brothers Merl and Warren Yocum. She is survived by her husband, Robert J, LeVangie; her daughters, Kristin (Shannon)LeVangie Sheets, Jennifer LeVangie; two grandsons, Seth and Quinn; siblings Janice (Jerry) Brickley, Wanda Yocum, Bill (Becky) Yocum; four brother in-laws, Joe (Zella) LeVangie, Pat (Sandy) LeVangie, Mike LeVangie, David (Brenda) LeVangie; two sister in-laws, Terry (Frank) Cartwright, Beth (Jeff) Ryherd and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E Second St, Franklin, OH 45005. Visitation is 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with services to follow and burial at Butler County Memorial Park in Trenton.
