Owen was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years and retired in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the Franklin VFW and served as Commander for 25 years.
Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stewart and a sister Connie Wolfe.
He is survived by two sons, Owen “Rusty” (Susanne) Stewart, Brian (Tammy) Stewart; five grandchildren, Taylor, Sarah, Dylan, Dustin, and Alexis; three sisters. Pearl Hammonds, Sue Riggs and Donna Weaver. Funeral services are 10am Wednesday January 8, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Pastor Joe Maggard officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
