Hello everyone, most of you know that Bill was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis over a year and a half ago. He has been enjoying life every single day since then and we (his family) have been enjoying him deeply! Lots of time sitting together, jokes, teasing and countless games of poker. We've cherished our time with him and have been challenged to prepare ourselves to say goodbye. Through all of it he has kept his family in mind and tried so hard never to inconvenience anyone. He has been such a delight and has fought this disease with courage and great patience from the very first day. His sense of humor has never wained...truly...even in his final hours with us, and we can't remember a word of complaint as he struggled to breathe. We wanted to formally let you all know that he went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9th at 11:38pm. We will miss him deeply.
Bill's clear wishes were for his family to privately celebrate his life and scatter his ashes on the ranch. We will be doing that in the coming days. We are also planning to share time with all of his friends for an afternoon and honor his memory. The date is Saturday, January 9th from 3pm-5pm (at the Bunkhouse at the ranch). Please bring a story about Bill to share with the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to make a donation to Bill's charity listed below.
Hospice of Dayton or Stepping Stones Ranch.
