Richard Oliver Hill

Richard Hill, age 81, Franklin, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his residence. Richard was born in Franklin, Ohio on June 11, 1936 to the late Earl and Jane Hill. He was a member of Franklin Golf Course for many years.

Richard was a loving husband for 58 years. He was a friend to all who knew him. Richard is preceded in death wife, Joyce Hill; sister, Nancy Hill; brother, David Hill; sister, Janice Strausburg; sister-in-law, Jean Schokley. He is survived by son, Damon Richard Hill; grandson, Easton Hill; sister-in-law, Joann Reason; and brother, Robert (Joann) Hill.

Richard worked at Armco as a welder for thirty years. Upon Richard's retirement he opened Hill's Hardware. Throughout his nine years of ownership he enjoyed working there and meeting new people. Richard was an amazing artist, bowler, and golfer. If you knew Richard, you knew that he enjoyed nature and being outside. He loved flowers. Richard was an avid Franklin Wildcat, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State fan.

A graveside service will be in Germantown Union Cemetery on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00 am.
