LATER WE WORKED THE NIGHT SHIFT AS RUSS WAS WORKING FOR MIDDLETOWN POLICE DEPT AND MYSELF AT BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE.
LATER,BOTH OF US WOULD MOVE ON AND RUSS AS YOU CAN SEE WAS EVENTUALLY THE CHEIF FOR 13 YEARS.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Dwyer's passing. I met him in 1982 while working for Dr.Stamper/Dr.Litle. He would stop in and visit the doctors and talk to our staff. He was very nice and always had a kind word. I would see Mrs. Dwyer while I was visiting my mother at the facility Russ was at. She is a great example of a dedicated wife. Love has no boundaries. We will be praying for peace and comfort for Mr. Dwyer's family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dwyer family.  Russ was an excellent police officer and a good chief.  He loved the Middletown Police Department and put his all into the department progressing.  I will not be able to attend the funeral or visitation as Imam having hip surgery Wednesday.

My first Sgt in 1967. So glad I got to visit with him a few weeks ago.  Sorry I will not be able to attend services due to having knee replacement surgery the 25th.

So sorry for your loss. He’s in a better place and will always in the hearts of his family and with them in spirit. :two_hearts:

He was the Chief at Middletown for 13 years, ending in the 80's. He was gone by the time I was hired. I always heard some great stories from my training officers about him. Never really knew him, but I know when I would see him out after I was hired he would always come up and say hello and shake my hand. He had a sincere interest in the PD, even after he was gone. Rest in Peace Chief. Godspeed.
