Sharon L. Walker

Sharon grew up in Dayton, Ohio and attended Patterson Co-operative High School graduating as Valedictorian. She married William Walker and raised two children, Terri and Tim, in Huber Heights, Ohio where she was an elder in a local church, an avid Bridge player, and an excellent seamstress and cook. Sharon's job as an administrative assistant in a small company paved the way to a career as the business administrator for two Dayton metro area medical practices. She enjoyed tennis, travel, and music.

Sharon and Bill retired to the Hilton Head area of South Carolina where she continued to play tennis, joining a senior ladies tennis group and competing locally, as well as out-of-state. And it was in retirement that Sharon realized a life-long dream of performing on stage - she was quite proud of her work with the Sun City theater group and the Bluffton community theater. In their later years, Sharon and Bill moved back to Ohio to be near family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Bill. She is survived by her children: Terri (Tim) Balside and Tim (Karen) Walker; and her grandchildren: TJ Walker, Alli Walker, Andy Walker, and Zach (Brittny) Balside. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
