Steve Gentry

Steven E. Gentry, age 63 of Franklin, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born in Middletown, Ohio on July 28, 1962, he was a son to the late Clifford & Barbara (Roberts) Gentry. Steve was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1980. He was also a proud United States Air Force Veteran, having served from 1981-85. He then married the love of his life, Becky Hood, on December 10, 1988. Steve was very proud of his profession, and was a Non Destructive Technician, and Level III X-Ray Tech. His most recent position was held at Barnes Aerospace in West Chester, Ohio as an Aerospace Technician. He formerly attended Missionary Baptist Temple in Franklin, and in his free time you could find him golfing, fishing, camping and woodworking. His true passion was his family, who will miss him deeply. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew James Gentry: mother and father-in-laws Calvin & Nancy Hood: brother-in-law Roger Hood.

Survived by his wife of 37 years, Becky Gentry: sons Calvin & Misty Hood; Chris & Sarah Gentry: grandchildren Eli, Jaxson, Lucas, Abigail, Cliff, Mason, Mylah, Kadynce, Neytiri, Rosie: siblings Mike Gentry; Don & Teri Gentry; April "Shelly" Gentry-Hillard; Karrie Stone Gentry: brother and sister in-laws Rick Hood; Scott Hood; Pat Esselman; Betty & Jay Abling; Sue Manson; Helen & Dan Grim; Willie & Delena Hood: as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Friends may call on the family from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, Ohio 45005. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jaime Cagg presiding. Burial to follow at Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin, Ohio.
