MEMORY  LANE...


    TODAY...
I went for a ride down memory lane,
Hoping things would be the same,
But I saw only the tires prints in the sand,
The place we stood--you held my hand,
I talked to the ocean's waves awhile.
The sunset dancing made me smile,
The stars glistened on velvet so black,
Like mansions in the heavens--bringing
    you back--
To a place in my heart only you've been,
Where we ride the Harley again and again,
We go over mountains and valleys so low,
Across the dessert, in rain and the snow,
Across lands we love while freedom rings.
We give God thanks while our heart sings,
Our spirits fly higher than eagles soar...
We take a rest Sweetheart--then ride some 
      more...

Aunt Euna and Aunt Vera called to say they will be with us in spirit all day.
Jesus knows every pain and every emotion we are experiencing. He will
reveal things to us if we leave our heart open and trust Him. Isn't it an
amazing thought that Jesus could bring Todd back alive in the flesh right
now but He has a bigger and better plan. He brought Lazarus back to life
and wept with the girls. It is thought He wept because he loved him so much.
Jesus will comfort us and give us the strength we need. He is our Lord...

Before I came here to earth,
I was in His mind.
On an endless journey,
That will take a long, long time.
He made me in His image,
Formed me to His will,
So , when I disappoint you,
Know He's working on me still.
He is far, so far, from finished,
A journey lies ahead,
So if you feel discouraged,
From something I have said,
Or if I let you down somehow,
Just know He is not through,
I am a diamond in the rough,
Being molded just like you.
He already gave us wings,
And will show us how to fly,
He'll be there with open arms,
To catch us when we try.
He gives us dreams with passion,
Ignited with desire,
Knowing with His constant love,
We can reach the highest star.
When you see me stumble,
Or take a mighty fall,
Just understand He'll hold my hand,
Forever, through it all.
My ways might seem quite foolish,
Appearing so incomplete,
But if you are patient with me,
You will see me on my feet.
And I know, because He told me,
When the time is right,

Todd, what a great loss we will all experience for the rest of life here on earth, You were an exceptional person in so many ways. Our Father gave you wonderful talents to share with everyone--and you shared them constantly. If we needed something fixed you were there to fix it--even on a zero cold dark winters  night. You always put others needs before yourself..making sure they were comforted. There was nothing you couldn't fix, even if you had to make the part you needed. You were one of the hardest workers in the world.It was unusual if you missed one minute of work. When the big snow storms came, everyone knew they were safe--you were out with the snow plow shoveling everyone's snow so they could be mobile again. you worked hard and played hard. Your favorite past time was casual rides on your Harley alone or with friends. It was a time of feeling freedom from the demons we all have to battle through the thorns of this world.It was your fun time. Once when I could barely walk you was brave enough to take me a ride on your Harley.I cherish those memories...and thank you for all the many blessings you bestowed on our family and friends in so many ways. You truly let your light shine. I feel a great void in my heart today--a sadness because you have left us for a time. I know we will be together again in a place where all tears will be dried and there will be no more pain. There is a new star in the heavens--and your time to rest. Lora Kay Alexander

Kristi & Lex...we are so sorry for your loss.  Just remember all the fun times, like we are doing.  We had so much fun in Hilton Head w/ you guys, which will be a cherished memory, along w/ other, that we will carry w/ us forever.  Phillip & Todd were like brothers.  I can still see Todd & Phillip on that Harley riding around together, talk about funny.  I was hoping no one I knew saw them.  lol  We will miss him deeply as I'm sure everyone who knew him will too.  Our Love & prayers go out to our good friends (family) the McDaniel family. I can not imagine all that you are going through....I pray that you will smile in all of the memories and feel some kind of peace knowing that you are being lifted in prayer.
