

JULIAN, Tony J, of Springboro, passed away June 6, 2018, at the age of 87. Tony is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Paula, his son Frank, daughter-in-law Carol, a large extended family and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Julian, brothers Sam Julian, Vic Julian and Frank Julian, and sister Frances Secret. The son of Italian immigrants, Tony was born in Nutter Fort, WV, on June 12, 1930. He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War where he was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. In 1955 he married his longtime sweetheart, Paula, and shortly thereafter moved to the then small village of Springboro. He was a newspaper pressman for the Dayton Daily News for 30 years before retiring in 1992. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main St., Springboro, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday June 12, 2018. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro, on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:00am, followed by burial in Springboro Cemetery.
