

William Griffith Long, was called home Friday evening to be with his Lord. Bill was 77. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Liz; 3 sons, Lance and wife Sherry of Blue Eye, MO, Linden and wife Amy of Lexington, KY, and Loren and wife Tracy of Madeira, OH; and 11 grandchildren, Jacqueline and husband Leigh Mills, Jaimie and husband Jon Paterson, Jasmine, Jordan and Julianna, Ethan Griffith, Caleb and Ellie; Griffith and Graham; one greatgranddaughter, McKinzie Mills. Bill served in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked for the U.S. Gypsum Company for 32 years, and was a Dale Carnegie Instructor for 15 years in Kentucky and Missouri. He also worked for Silver Dollar City for 10 years, where he loved his friends. He was a member of the Ozark Mountain Community Church, where he served as Seniors' Minister. He loved fishing, golfing, and Liz. A Memorial Service was held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 19, at the First Alliance Church on Higbee Mill Road in Lexington, Kentucky.
