William Thomas

William W Thomas, age 82, of Franklin, Ohio, died Thursday June 27, 2013 at Carlisle Manor. William was born in Rio Grande, Ohio on June 23, 1931 to William and Margaret (Adkins) Thomas. William served in the Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean War, was Mayor of the City of Franklin for 12 years and served as City Manager 4 years. William was employed with Dayton Power & Light and retired in 1985. William was preceded in death by his parents William W. Thomas and Margaret Thomas, his daughter, Mary Jean Triplett, his brother, Richard Thomas, and his sister Geraldine Taylor. William is survived by his wife of 41 years Elsie M. Thomas, his 7 children William W. (Joyce) Thomas, Patricia (Allen) Boggs, Michael D. Thomas, Gwen (Rich) DeLay, Paul F. (Sandi) Eagle, Thomas M. (Fran) Thomas, 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, his devoted sister Myrtle (Clint) Lederer, and brother Donald (Jeannie) Thomas, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 am Monday July 1, 2013 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Rev. Danny Griffith officiating.
