Our Papang, Adrionico Callo Tan, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2013 at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara surrounded by his family. Adrionico graced us with both his kind smile and warm embrace. He was the loving husband of Francisca Boniol Tan; devoted father of ten children: Catherine, Marialene, Randolf, Teresita, Edario, Amelene, Jeannette, Gresaline, Virgilina, and Ruth Carol (deceased at 6-months-old); sixteen grandchildren: Keinth, Kenneth, Kristine, Krystal, Kathleen (deceased), Karla, Geraldine, Jonathan, Karen, Mary Joy, Allen, Jerron, Nathaniel, Aaron, Ashley, and Vincent; and two great-grandchildren: Darren and Santiago III.
Adrionico was born in Burgos, Pangasinan, Philippines on March 17, 1927 to the late Tan Chayco and Cerilla. Adring, as he was known, was the beloved brother of Wilfredo, Alberto, and Flordileza (all deceased). Adrionico married Francisca in 1956. Francisca was a loving housewife while Adrionico traveled abroad to be a foreman construction worker, working mostly in Singapore and Saudi Arabia. They moved to the US in 1987 and settled in Milpitas, California. He got a job at Stanford Hospital in housekeeping and worked there until he retired. He enjoyed going out and trying different types of food with friends and family. They were truly blessed to have had him in their lives.
Per Adring's wishes, the burial service will be held in his ancestral homeland of the Philippines. Thank you for being the kind of person you were and leading the kind of family you have. You will be greatly missed and will always be with us in our memories.
