He completed his elementary education at Don Galo Elementary School and Parañaque Elementary School Unit 1, went on to attend Mapua University for high school, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry from Manila Central University.
He married Lorna Loreno Sope, and together they built a life centered on family and love. He is survived by his daughters, Ma. Jasmin ("Min") Loreno Sope-Acanto and Marie Angeli Loreno Sope (“Gelay”), along with his in-law and future in-law Gladys and Kunal, all of whom were deeply cherished and remained at the heart of his world. In 1997, he moved to the United States, working tirelessly in a variety of jobs to support his family and eventually bring them together again. He accompanied his wife with church activities. His kindness and devotion also led him to lovingly care for his mother until her passing.
In his younger years, he loved reading and had a natural curiosity about the world. He enjoyed road trips, hiking, and biking in his prime, and later spent many relaxed hours watching documentaries on his favorite couch. An avid San Francisco 49ers fan, he followed his team with enthusiasm and loyalty. He is known for his love for food, the laughter around the table, and the way he turned every meal into a moment of connection. He will always be remembered for his humor, his jokes, playful wit, and dry delivery that never failed to bring smiles and laughter.
His life was marked by remarkable resilience. Beginning at age 40, he survived at least six heart attacks and underwent numerous cardiac procedures, including stents, triple coronary artery bypass surgery, a pacemaker, ablation, and later ICD and CRT-D upgrades. During his hospital days, he found comfort in listening to music from Sweetnotes at night. Through every challenge, he carried on with strength, grace, and determination.
He passed away surrounded by his beloved girls. While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with Nanay Pila, Tatay Ben, Iyay, Chu Done, and Uncle Sam.
His love, humor, and quiet strength remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.
