

On Friday, May 1, 2015, the world lost a beautiful woman, a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. Anita Pastor-Tiburcio passed away at her son Daniel’s house in Fremont, CA after a long battle with cancer.
Anita was born January 11, 1936 in Cabangan, Zambales, Philippines. She is the oldest child of Juan Bautista Pastor and Rupert Villanueva Espiritu. Anita has 11 siblings that included; Lorenzo (†), Ramon, Liwayway (†), Clarita Nelson, Rolando, Franco, Rev. Fr. Juan (†), Antonio (†), Helen Moreno, Nora Kupel and Sonia Perez.
Anita spent most of her childhood life in San Narciso, Zambales. She attended San Narciso Cooperative School (now Magsaysay Memorial College), She graduated from the University of the East with a degree in Commerce major in Banking and Finance.
At 19, Anita married Gregorio F. Tiburcio, Jr., only son of Gregorio F. Tiburcio, Sr. and Paula Labrador. They are blessed with four sons; Greg III, Daniel, John and Karl. John died in March 22, 2007.
In the 1967, the family migrated to the US and settled in San Francisco where the youngest son Karl was born. 5 years later they moved to Milpitas, CA.
It was then, when Anita saw the need to address the many needs of the Filipinos in the area. She rose to the occasion. Anita was founding member of the San Narciso Association of Northern California where served in various capacities as Historian, Advisor and Editor-in-Chief of SNANC Newsletter.
Anita also saw the urgent need to deal with the cultural heritage and values of the Community especially among the second generation Filipino-American youth. Together with her sister Helen, and with the support of some Narciseneans, Anita helped organized Kaisahan of San Jose in 1981.
Anita’s greatest passion and achievement, however, was her involvement with the Prayer group, “Lord of Pardon”, whose objectives is to propagate devotion to our Lord of Pardon, Holy Infant Jesus, and Blessed Mother Mary, through the family recitation of the Holy Rosary, prayers & sacrifices. To date, hundreds of families have been served by the group.
Aside from having worked with such companies as National Semiconductor and Ben Bridge Jewelry, Anita took pride of her roles as wife, mother and grandmother.
Anita is survived by her husband Greg, her children Greg III, his wife Ellie Ambrocio and children Lauren & Greg IV; son Daniel and wife Maria Luningning Elumba and children Gabriel & Nikola; and son Karl & wife Emma Tolentino & Children Elek, Micah & Ronen.; her siblings Ramon, Clarita, Rolando, Franco, Helen, Nora and Sonia; and her circle of relatives and families.
