

Anuevo was born on January 15, 1931 in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to the late Patricio U. Felix, Sr. and Martina Udasco. After graduating high school, Anuevo went on to attend Saint William's College (now known as Divine Word College) of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, receiving his degree in Elementary Teacher's Certificate. Following his education, he enlisted in the United States Navy.
On December 1, 1956, Anuevo married Lourdes Rivada in Quezon City, Philippines and they shared sixty three years together before her passing in 2019.
Anuevo proudly served in the United States Navy for twenty one years and he participated in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He served aboard several Naval vessels including the aircraft carriers USS Hancock and USS Midway. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for twenty seven years in the U.S. Postal Service, retiring there in 2001.
Anuevo and Lourdes were faithful members of St. Victor Catholic Church. They both sang in the Choir every Sunday at the 10:45 am mass and during Easter and Midnight Mass. They were long time members of the Filipino American Association of this parish and they both took turns serving as President of the FilAm Association during that time. Anuevo volunteered at church events for many years, using his culinary skills to create delicious dishes for parish festivals and seasonal fund raising.
He was a skilled backyard gardener, growing vegetables especially tomatoes, eggplant, and bitter melon as well as persimmon and calamansi fruit. He also loved fishing and crabbing. Anuevo enjoyed watching sports on television, especially basketball and football. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan.
He and his wife, Lourdes, have traveled the world, seeing such places as Israel, Spain, Poland, Germany, England, France, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, and Alaska.
Anuevo was preceded in death by his wife, Lourdes Rivada Felix, and their son, Glenn Felix.
Anuevo is survived by his sons, Louran Felix and Anuevo Felix, Jr., daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Anuevo will be remembered as a loving and caring man. He will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
