Mrs. Ebeila G. Vargas was born March 16 1923 in Norfolk, West Virginia. She moved to West Oakland, California in 1933. Ebelia past away peacefully at home Saturday Sept. 10th after a 2 year battle with Alzheimer she was 88 yrs of age.
Mrs. Ebeila {Billie} Vargas graduated from Castle Mont High School Oakland, California. Her husband Lucio "Lou" J. Vargas preceded her in death Jan 1993. They were co-owners of the "The El Mambo Cafe" on 82nd Ave. Oakland, Ca. in the 1950s
Her brothers were Manny Granados, Nick Granados, Trinidad Granados, Lupy Granados. Her sisters were Rachel Gomes, Connie Grams, Adeline Vega, Jenny Leyva
Her children are a son Mr. Gabe Vargas 69yrs and daughter Angelina Goodeill 65, Son-in-law Stephen W. Goodeill Grandson Anthony Goodeill 33, Granddaughter-in-law Christina Goodeill,
Great Granddaughter Lia Lynne Goodeill 6 years old and Great Granddaughter Taylor Adrianna Goodeill 5 years old.
