Estrella Marceno, beloved wife to Benjamin, mother to Annabelle and Joseph, grandmother to Alyssa, Dominic, Seth, Dante and Noelle, sister to Edwin, Teresita and Leticia, went home to our heavenly Father on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Born in Santiago, Isabella Philippines, Estrella graduated from La Salette of Aurora and earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of the East. She returned to La Salette as a teacher from 1963 to 1965.
Estrella and Benjamin married in December, 1965 and their path led them to Vancouver, Canada in 1966 to start their new life. It is there where they started their family. In 1979, their path continued to the San Francisco Bay Area, where they laid their roots and have resided since.
Her career was spent ensuring the success of her children and grandchildren. Her loyalty to her family and friends was immeasurable. The strength of her character was exemplified during her battle with myelofibrosis. Her faith and fighting spirit allowed her to live a long, active, and fulfilling life even after her diagnosis in 1989.
Her journey through life was laced with love, laughter and humor enriching the lives of all those she touched.
