Truly, with this outlook in life, it mirrored the life style he had lived. He was a visionary and a dreamer. He had no inklings of sharing those dreams to others. He had lived his life to an utmost desire. He had let things happened the way he wanted them to be.
Flor, as his family and friends call him, was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the seventh child of the late Mariano and Marcela Ramiro.
He graduated at Philippine School of Arts and Trades in Manila with a degree in Bachelor of Science in High School Education. He taught at Bangui National High School-Lanao Campus for years and there he met his wife Roselia Manuel, whom he married in 1977. As his wife was then living abroad, Flor followed and immigrated to Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S.A. in 1980 to join her. In 1984, he moved to San Jose, California to seek a better opportunity and worked at Intel Corporation for a number of years.
Flor taught all those who listened to him the realities of life, how to live in difficult times, how to fight when the odds are against you, and how to love without limits or boundaries. He was a man of words who loved to talk about many things. He made a huge impact on everyone’s life because of his passionate and joyful wisdom and jokes.
To his family and friends, his laughter, endless and repeated stories would surely be a part of their fondest memories of him. His dreams and aspirations will remain with him, but the lessons learned from his stories, his camaraderie, and friendship will be greatly missed by the people who loved him.
Flor’s sudden but peaceful demise had caused his wife Roselia, son Justin, sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunties, in-laws, numerous relatives and friends their deepest grief and sorrows, and yet are greatly comforted by the thought of him being at peace with the Heavenly Father. He now joins his daughter Jennifer Marie, his parents, brother, and sister with the Lord.
