Jacob Thampan

Jacob Thampan, age 59, of San Jose, California passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. Jacob was born November 15, 1962. It devastates me to announce the unexpected passing of the sweet, wonderful and beloved Jacob (Jake)Thampan. Jake is the the son of Dr. K.V. Thampan and Susheela Thampan. Jake was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. He came to the United States when he was four years old. He attended Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Jake was Vice President of Engineering at DB Control in Fremont, California. He was a key player to the defense manufacturing company since the early 1990s and a beloved member of the DB Control family. He was an avid golfer, basketball player and snow boarder and all around athlete. Jake loved cooking, good food and beverages. He was a devoted family man. Jake is survived by his wife Tammy Thampan, and three children Matthew, Joshua, Chloe, his mother Susheela and sister Jennifer. Jake was a cherished friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
