I am so sorry to read of Mrs. Sinnott's death. In 1984 she taught my daughter to dance and perform at the Cupertino center. I will always remember and be grateful for the moments of 'joy'.  Blessings to her family always!

Miss Joy had such an influence on me almost 30 years ago, that I enrolled my two daughters at Joy of Dancing when they started in dance.  I knew Joy's was the best place for them...Miss Joy gave me a love of dance that stays with me to this day, she was such a wonderful woman.  I'm heartbroken that I missed the services as I just learned of her passing today.  May she rest in peace, and dance with the angels...

Miss Joy, what will us dance lovers ever do without you? You are a San Jose legend! I love you for the wonderful way you dedicated yourself to each of your students and staff members. Til this day I am a danceaholic & I'm not sure that the passion would be there if it hadn't been for you. You literally are a joy & another mom to the girls who were blessed to have been taught at your studio. God bless you, Miss Joy. We all love you so very much.

You will always be remembered for welcoming Danielle (Dizzle)to your family after leaving Sheri's Born To Dance ten years.  She not only found a new family of dancers but flourished with the warm welcome Miss Joy and the Joy of Dance family gave her. I was so very sorry to hear your beautiful mom passed away.  Her love of dance touched so many people.  I will always cherish the 7 years Darrell danced at Joy Of Dancing.  I'll never forget when Darrell made the decision to quit dancing so he could play high school football.  I made your mom a frilly little bear to thank her for sharing her gift of dancing with Darrell.  We both just stood there hugging and crying.  I am forever grateful for the wonderful memories.  She made it so easy for a young boy to want to dance!  My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Where to begin???
If it weren't for Miss Joy and Miss Kathy, I might never have known what it meant to have a passion for something. I am so grateful to have such a passion for dance, and it is all because of my amazing dance teachers. It is something that lives inside of me even now, far beyond my dancing days. These two women instilled in me everything that dance is. Dedication, confidence, self esteem, pride, determination, focus, strength, happiness, friendship, teamwork, technique, style, grace, to be gracious, to be humble, doing my very best at everything I do, how to kick some dance-a** -oh-and what it was like to have "haters"… The list goes on and on! Dancing at The Joy of Dancing gave me opportunities that I would not have had elsewhere. I am proud to have been a "Joy" dancer.

Miss Joy...You will forever be in my heart! You were my dance teacher for 16 years...you taught me everything I know about tap! You were an inspiration and role model to SO MANY of us! I have only the happiest memories when I think back to my years at Joy of Dancing! You were such a special person. I am very saddened to hear of Miss Joy's passing. Miss Joy was the best dance teacher. To this day, every time I watch So You Think You Can Dance, I remember my dancing years at Joy of Dancing and especially Miss Joy. She always had a smile on her face.

For over a decade I had the privilege of being part of the Joy of Dancing family.  Miss Joy's smile and positive attitude was infectious.  Her love for and dedication to her dancers was evident in everything she did.  No matter how hectic a recital was backstage, she always took the time to comfort a young dancer who was in need of a reassuring hug.  While learning how to dance is important, the self-confidence and caring for your fellow dancers lessons are far more lasting.  Her legacy lives on at JoD in Miss Nicki and the other wonderful teachers that took to heart Miss Joy's kindness, grace, and love.  I will be forever grateful for the many ways that she touched my life.

Miss Joy did such wonderful things for my children and myself. She helped me raise my girls to the beautiful women that they are. She will always be in our hearts.

Thank you, Miss Joy and the Sinnott family, for helping so many young people see and feel the beauty in themselves.  You are still a true gift to Berryessa and your legacies of love and professional discipline live on.

My heart truly aches hearing about the passing of your mom. I am so sorry for your loss. I hold wonderful memories of your mom as you and I navigated through the college years.  I will always remember my surprise baby shower held at her home and then having the "joy" of my daughter attending your mom's dance studio for years. Both Miranda and I are shocked and saddened and though distance keeps us apart, know that i do think of you often, will continue to do so, and send all my love to you, Bob and Andy during this difficult time.

I have so many fond memories of Miss Joy from my childhood. I danced at JOD for 12 years. She has always been a huge inspiration to me as a dancer and mentor. My heart is broken from her passing but I know she will continue to dance in paradise. RIP Miss Joy XOXO

Memories of Miss Joy will always bring a smile to my face. I remember her best dancing in the recitals. She always performed with enthusiasm and was fun to watch. I always knew when I would see her she would greet me with that great smile of hers that lit up a room. I will greatly miss her.
