June Baker was born Jan 28, 1933 on a farm in Hale County, Texas. She was the youngest of five children. She married young to Jim Baker and was married for 55 years until his death. They moved to their brand new home in Milpitas in 1960. June was the beloved mother of two children, Jim Baker (Lee) and Jennie Finch (Warren), grandmother of Douglas Finch (Faydra), Chad Baker (Tonia), and Juliett Moore (Jarrod) Great Grandmother of Skyler, Ravyn, Ariah, Thomas, Ryder, and Isabella and three great great grandchildren, Xavier, Lincoln and Presley. She is also survived by her sister Lorene Runge of Homewood, AL, one nephew, two nieces, and grand nieces and nephews.
June died Saturday, May 27, 2017. She worked hard all her life and was very loving. She always put others first. Supporting, encouraging, and lovingly guiding each of those she loved to do their best. Not shy to voice her opinion, but eager to hear what you had to say. She could correct behavior with “that look” and wrap her arms around you and dry your tears. Taught each generation to do your homework first but take time then to play, including creative ways to win when playing cards. She was the best baseball player with all the kids in the neighborhood in the 1960’s when all the houses were new.
She left us with so many memories and love.
