Lisa Martin, 71, of Fremont, California, passed on April 18, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a force to be reckoned with, and a generous and beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister and daughter.
Lisa was born on September 19, 1951 in Oakland, CA to Kenneth & Barbara Cook. She was the second oldest of five children and the matriarch of her family. She loved spending time with her grandson, dinners out with her husband and family, Santa Cruz, long baths, gardening, Cadillacs, estate sales, crossword puzzles, and an excellent burger.
Lisa was a resident of Fremont for over 50 years, and a 3rd generation Northern California native. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob Martin of Fremont, CA; her daughter Sherry (Matthew) Revak and grandson River Revak of Hayward, CA; her sister Cynthia Truitt of Milwaukee, OR; her brothers Samuel Day, Jr. of Hayward, CA, Scott (Lesley) Day of San Leandro, CA, and Kevin (Monette) Day of Livermore, CA; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Cook in 1979; mother, Barbara Day in 2017; and stepfather Samuel Day in 2017.
Lisa's services will be private, and she will be laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Fremont. Lisa will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and love for her family.
