Louis A. Pieraldi

Louie, as he was known to many, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of July 17th at Eden Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Francisco, the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters. He lived a fulfilled 76 years making the most of every day. He was a one of a kind man who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Louie loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends, Big Band and Swing era music, a good cowboy movie, golfing and fishing and he was a devoted Oakland A’s fan. Louie was a painter by trade, working for Mattson Lines of San Francisco in the 60’s; he then worked for the City of Hayward as a maintenance supervisor and retired after 20 years of service. One of his greatest joys in life was working for the Oakland A’s, where he managed the Press Lounge for over 40 years and was affectionately known to all as, “Lounge Louie”. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 wonderful years, Mary Jane, his children Michael Pieraldi, Ron and Linda Pieraldi, Brad and Maria Keller, Michael and Cynthia Young and John and Diana Ayala, twelve beautiful grandchildren, loving brother George Pieraldi, niece Cindy Lopez, many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as numerous colleagues and friends. He was a beloved Husband, Dad, Papa, Uncle and Friend who leaves behind a legacy never to be forgotten. He was taken from us too soon and we will miss him, but he is not alone for when he left, he took a piece of us with him. We want everyone to remember him fondly and always with a smile. Family and friends are invited to Guerrero Mortuary at 407 Estudillo Ave, San Leandro, for a Viewing on Wednesday, July 23rd at 5:30 pm, The Rosary will be 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Guerrero Mortuary on Thursday, July 24th at 11:00 am. Burial services will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 1051 Harder Rd, Hayward, CA at 1:00p.Louis A. Pieraldi died on July 17, 2008.
