Mary Grace Chan was born on September 18, 1948 and passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015. Mary was born in China, grew up in Hong Kong, and spent the second half of her life as a registered nurse in San Leandro, California.
Mary Grace was diagnosed with colon cancer around 2003. It quickly spread to her liver. She has going through 6 major surgeries, numerous radiation treatments, and constant chemotherapy sessions. For a disease that is normally given a 2-year timeline, Mary Grace survived over 10 years with the disease.
She is grateful for all the love she has received, the time she got to spend with her friends, family, and especially the grand kids.
She is humbled by the care she was given by the doctors, nurses, and staff at UCSF medical center.
She is survived by two sons, one daughter in law, one adopted son, and two grand children.
