Marylene was born on April 21, 1949 in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Elena Barangan Agor and Juan Hernando. Growing up in an agricultural community, she was surrounded by hard working and loving family and friends. She attended Philippine Normal College and acquired a B.A in Education eventually teaching at an elementary school for a few years. On February 17, 1969, Marylene and Milder Lisondra were married and began a new life with many hopes and dreams. Shortly after, Marylene began working for the Philippine Department of Defense. With the desire for greater opportunities for themselves and their 3 children, Marylene and Milder emigrated to the United States on October 31, 1982. She established herself within the semiconductor industry working for giants such as Max Media and Hitachi Corporation. Marylene served for 4 years as President of the San Nicolenos of California, a non profit dedicated to providing educational resources for her hometown back in the Philippines.
Marylene is survived by her husband, Milder Sr.; her sons, Milmar, Milder John and his wife Delfina, Mark and his wife Monica; grandchildren, Jasmine, Clarissa, Antonio, Desiree, Charlize and Olivia. She is also survived by two brothers, Manuel Hernando and Oscar Hernando.
Marylene will be remembered for her warm smile and her joyous laugh that will continue to ring in the hearts of those who loved her.
