Hi Tio. I have thought of you very often over the years. I hope you are resting peacefully. I see you in so many parts of my life, in every sunflower and in the vast and unchanging sea. I want you to know that you have shaped who I have become to this very day. I tell stories about you and the things that you taught me. You told me a story a long time ago, and only now have I begun to grasp the meaning of what you were telling me. It was the story of you. It was the story of me, and your belief in me. It gives me hope. What a beautiful thing to give someone. I wish we had more time together. There’s so many things I want to tell you. I think of a poem you wrote in Spanish. I wish so often that I could remember all of it. I remember you wrote; “I came here to love you”. And you loved so magnificently. And you still do.

I miss you and wish I can call you and have coffee with your like we used too.
