In Memory of Robert Lin from his manager Matthew Scardina.   

It is with my deepest regret to inform you that we have lost a member of our Solta Family.  Robert Lin, Service Technician for Solta Hayward, passed away on October 1st.

Robert began his career with Solta as a Reliant employee in 2007 on the Production team as a Sr. Technician.  In 2011, he transitioned to the Service Depot where he immediately assimilated himself into the Service Depot Team.    
 
If anyone has had the pleasure to work with or talk to Robert, you would know how easy he was to get along with.  He was always willing to take on any tasks thrown his way and would not back down, as seen in his battle over the past 5 months.  We spoke on the phone once a week and Robert was always in good spirits with a very positive attitude. He would always ask the same question, “Matt, is my job still there?  I will be back and would like to have my same bench to work on.”  That's just the way Robert was, a man fighting but still wanting to ensure that he still had a means of taking care of his family when he would return.        
 
On a personal note, Robert was the go to person in the Depot when it came to analyzing sports.  Like many of us, sports can be a release from the day-to-day hustle and bustle of work.  You could always count on Robert to have up to date stats on upcoming games.  There were many great conversations before and after games that involved banter between rival teams.

I remember during the NHL playoffs last year, Robert was telling me that his 11 year old son, Steve, told him who was going to win the cup, he was correct; and no, he didn't pick the Sharks.   We told Robert that he should have his son place a few bets for him and retire.  These were good times that will be remembered within the Service Depot Team and he will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sann Liang, and son, Steve Lin.
