

Tivos is survived by his wife Lydia Quirimit Ross; his son Timothy Andrew Ross; his step daughters Cindy Burrill Naranjo, Leila Abalos, Divina Abalos and Joanna Abalos.
Tivos was the first born of the late Clyde Vance Ross and Una Norman. Born in Elkin, North Carolina and move to Columbus, Ohio at the age of 8.
In Ohio, Tivos grew up to be a sweet and loving gentleman. He earned a baccalaureate degree in education, majoring in history from Ohio State University. He was a very proud Buckeye fan. Although education was his degree, he did not think that becoming a teacher fit his personality, thus led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy at Mount Carmel Academy .
Tivos became a respiratory therapist at Regional Center from 1979 - 1983. He transferred to Kaiser San Jose from 1984 - 2013. As a respiratory therapist, Tivos touched many lives at their weakest moments, inspiring people with the joy of life, helping them with his caring personality. Known for being passionate about helping others and he was a valuable member of the pulmonology team.
A loving husband and father, he was a sweet man to his wife and a perfect example of a man to his son, a father figure to 4 step daughters who loved him very dearly. He was understanding, kind and soft spoken. He gave sound advices and supported his family with all their endeavors. Tivos' sense of humor and gentleness was a prominent hallmark of his character. Tivos will be remembered as a kind hearted soul to all his friends and family in US and Philippines.
