Al T. Patterson

He was born January 31, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York the son of Robert & Marie (Fuccie) Patterson, they preceded him in death.

Al married Judy (Pettigrew) on August 26, 1989 at Fort Wayne, Indiana, she survives, at Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana.

Mr. Patterson served in the United States Air Force. He worked for AB Dick Company, and also owned his own business “Patterson Offset Service” in California. Recently he served Steuben County for 22 years as a Steuben County Sheriffs Reserve, retiring in 2010. He also had worked for Satek Winery in Fremont.

He enjoyed woodworking, photography, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Patterson, Snow Lake, Fremont, IN., and her six children, his two daughters, Laura & Steve McCarthy of Martinez, CA , and Cathy & Chris Grant of Rochester, IN., a brother, Bobby Patterson, of Mesa, AZ, and a sister, Joyce McLaughlin, of Omaha, Neb.,

38 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy Patterson, and a nephew, Robert McLaughlin.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm Friday July 26, 2013 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. A Prayer Service will follow the visitation at 4 p.m. Friday July 26, 2013 at Beams Funeral Home, with Father Tom North officiating. Following the prayer service, Military Honors will be conducted by members of the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post #257.

A Celebration of His Life will follow services after 5 p.m. at Mad Anthony’s Lakeview Alehouse & Reception Hall, 4080 N – 300 W, Angola, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in the form of plants and keepsakes, or memorial donations to the donor’s choice.
