Brian Dewayne Thompson

Brian D. Thompson, age 56, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana, as the result of a tree trimming accident in Branch County, Michigan, on February 6, 2018.
Brian was born on November 3, 1961 in Coldwater, Michigan, the son of Edwin and Nancy (Keith) Thompson.
He attended Coldwater High School. He formerly worked at Dexter Axle, Fremont, Indiana.
Brian enjoyed farming, fishing, and working on small engines. He helped out anyone he could and he treasured the moments he spent with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Thompson of Fremont, Indiana, three children, Amber (Cory) Wilson of Angola, Indiana, Matt Thompson of Montgomery, Michigan, and Brady Thompson (Shelly Neely) of Fremont, Indiana, grandchildren, Austin and Whitney, his mother, Nancy Thompson of Coldwater, Michigan, two brothers, Randy (Cindy) Thompson of Burlington, Michigan, and Mark (Wendy) Thompson of Coldwater, Michigan, his mother-in-law, Lois Petre of Fremont, Indiana, and two sisters-in-law, Sherry Thompson of Tekonsha, Michigan, and Lori (Richard) Marten of Fremont, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Thompson, father-in-law, Richard Petre, and two brothers, Keith and Lyle Thompson.
Memorial Services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Mike Cain officiating.
There will be calling hours from 1 pm to 3 pm Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later time at Knauss Cemetery, Kinderhook Township, Michigan.
