He was born December 5, 1948 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Lawrence and Vena (Fish) Wise.
He enjoyed music, playing to the guitar, taking long car rides, bingo, and love spending time with his family.
Survivors include daughters, Michele (Paul) Jones of Angola, Indiana, and Amy Wise of Battle Creek, Michigan, eight grandchildren, Mike Willavize, JD Millsap, Josh Millsap, Michele Millsap, Charles Wise, III., Carri McGuire, Charlie Russel, and Angel Wise, many great-grandchildren, a brother, Lawrence (Sally) Wise of Battle Creek, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews, particularly Vena Johnson-McNees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Charles Lawrence VanDorsten, and Charles Lynn "Buddy" Wise, sisters, Christine, Jane, Lois, Shirley, and Marie, and a brother, David Wise.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Urbandale Baptist Church, 6501 NW Aurora Avenue, Battle Creek, Michigan 50322.
Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to the Urbandale Baptist Church.
