Dennis Warren Collins

Dennis was born on February 24, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of James and Mary (Hakoes) Collins, they preceded him in death.

He graduated from Bedford High School, Monroe County, Michigan. He worked for Cam Shaft in Orland, Indiana.

He married Lori A. Wooster on May 29, 1987 in Orland, Indiana.

He enjoyed racing cars at Angola Motor Speedway, going north into the national forest in Northern Michigan, hunting, being outdoors, and he formerly lived in Lambertville, Michigan. He also had attended the Lake Gage Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lori A. Collins, Orland, Indiana, his children, Christine (Ryan) Vicroy, of Toledo, Ohio, Dennis W. “D.J.” Collins, Jr., Toledo, Ohio, Brook (Scott) Cline of Angola, Indiana, Kevin Collins of Orland, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, his mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Lawrence Wooster of Orland, Indiana, three sisters, Lynn Schardt of Toledo, Ohio, Jody (Ed) Halter of Adrian, Michigan, and Tammy (Walter) Dowell of Toledo, Ohio, three brothers, Duane (Kandy) Collins, Jimmy Collins of Lambertville, Michigan, Patrick Collins of Toledo, Ohio, one sister-in-law, Laura Collins of Lambertville, Michigan, and two brothers-in-law, Carl Schardt of Lambertville, Michigan, and Walter Nash of Fayette, Ohio.

Calling hours will be held from 6 pm -8 pm Friday, January 1, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 2, 2016, with Rev. Stephen Altman officiating. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the services from 10 am until 11 am Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the services at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.

Memorials are requested in care of the family.
