Ellen Mae Lopshire

She was born on January 3, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Lester and Margaret Mary (McCoy) France.

Ellen married Edward James Lopshire on July 29, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2022.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana. Ellen was an avid Bingo player, and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed the lake life, vacationing in Florida and doing puzzles.

Ellen worked in photography as an inspector for the former McJon’s Photography in Fort Wayne. Ellen and her husband Ed also managed the Tom's Donuts Lake George location for several years until retirement.

Survivors include, daughter, Margaret (Garry) Frazier of Columbia City, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Denise Lopshire of Jimmerson Lake, Angola, Indiana, grandchildren, Christopher Frazier (Bethany) of Columbia City, Indiana, Jessica (Tom) Woods of London, England, Joel Lopshire (Taylor Lovett) of Angola, Indiana and Katie (AJ) Warner of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a brother, David France and a sister, Zondra Orr.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lopshire on November 11, 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana. Father Raul Marroquin will officiate the Mass.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass at the Church.

Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana at a later time.
