

Harry was born on July 2, 1949, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Harry Welcome and Juanita June (Lytle) Wells.
He attended school in Orland and graduated from Fremont High School in 1969. Harry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving two terms, and was a bronze star and purple -heart recipient.
He was self-employed and did lawn care. He was a member of the Orland American Legion Post # 423, and attended Nevada Mills United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and pool, and gardening.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Wells of Angola, Indiana, two sisters, Virginia Northam of Greenville, Michigan, and Karen Wilcox of Angola, Indiana, nephews, LeRoy Northam of Big Lake, Minnesota, James Wilcox of Dayton, Ohio, and Heath Wilcox of Angola, Indiana, nieces, Lori Hansen of Greenville, Michigan, Lisa Wernet of Fenton, Michigan, and Leslie Garrison of Greenville, Michigan, and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Welcome Wells.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
Military Honors will be conducted at the cemetery by members of the Orland American Legion Post # 423 Color Guard and the Ft. Wayne Army Military Honors Team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Steuben County Cancer Association or to the Nevada Mills United Methodist Church.
