He was born on February 3, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois.
Jay was a awesome man, loved by many. He was a one of a kind person once you met him you didn't forget him. He was a family man always put his wife and kids first. He had the best sense of humor in every life situation. The best father and grandpa with wise advise always able to put himself in someone else's shoes. He loved being outside, grilling, fishing, spending time with friends and family. Jay will be truly missed and never forgotten and forever loved.
Survivors include his forever partner, Natalie Gahagan of Angola, Indiana, children, Natalya (Kyle) Emerick of Angola, Indiana, Dylan Gahagan of Smyrna, Georgia and Dustin Gahagan of Angola, Indiana and grandchildren, Nila Emerick, Esmay Emerick and Maya Emerick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Gahagan and Sharon Louise (Bauer) Gahagan.
Private burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
