Jeffrey W. Oliver, age 53, of Columbia City, Indiana, formerly of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, under hospice care. Jeff was born on February 12, 1965 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Pierre Oliver, and Lynne (Pritchett) Oliver. He grew up in Angola, Indiana, as well as some time in Marion, Indiana before he joined the US Army in 1987 and spent his service in Frankfort Germany. He completed Calvary Scout Reconnaissance Training. He was awarded the General George S. Patton Outstanding Trooper Award, the Department of the Army Letter of Commendation, and the Minuteman Citation Award. Jeff enjoyed spending time with family and was always the first to step up and help anyone. He loved playing the drums. He was known for his unforgettable laugh, and he was a jack of all trades. He is survived by his four daughters, Savanna Livengood, with three grandchildren of Angola Indiana, Veronica Oliver of Bluffton, Indiana, Hanna Oliver of Bluffton Indiana, and Brittany Oliver of Sylvania Georgia, he is also survived by his parents, Lynne Oliver of Angola, Indiana, and Pierre Oliver of Angola, Indiana , two sisters, Teri ( Rex) Parrish of Fremont, Indiana, and Robin (Roger) Cruz of Angola, Indiana, and one brother, Tracy Oliver of Hillsboro, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen Pritchett, and Eileen Pritchett. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at a later time at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
