June D. John

June was born on June 19, 1932 in Fort Wayne to Charles and Alma (Siefert) Ormerod.

She attended Concordia Lutheran High School. She was a member of Lake George Lutheran Chapel, Fremont, Indiana, and the Auburn Elks Lodge. She enjoyed playing euchre, her Monday Lunch Bunch, going to Auntie V’s, her family, and church.

June formerly worked at Angola Ford, Lehman Electronics, and for a trucking company, as a bookkeeper.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mary Lou Gavin of Warsaw, Indiana, a daughter, Cheryl Rankin of Tow, Texas, two grandchildren, Ben Gavin of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Molly (Matt) Schumaker of Zionsville, Indiana, a great-grandchild, Jack Edward Schumaker, a sister, Joetta Zimmer of Corona, California, and a brother, Phil Ormerod of El Prado, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Bill Ormerod.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Lake George Lutheran Chapel, with Rev. David A. Easterday officiating. There will be a celebration of her life immediately following the service at the church. There will be one hour of calling at the church prior to the services.

Burial will be at Concordia Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Lake George Lutheran Chapel.
