Kathie Ann Strassburger

She was born in Tampa, Florida on March 30, 1945, the daughter of Donald & Lillian (Hees) Hamann, they preceded her in death.

Kathie married Frederick H. “Fritz” Strassburger on July 8, 1964 at Defiance, Ohio, and he survives.

She was raised in Defiance, Ohio, and graduated from Defiance High School in 1963. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont, and her hobbies included playing euchre, doing crafts, cooking, and traveling.

She worked for many years in healthcare, and retired from Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, Indiana.

Survivors include her husband, Fritz Strassburger of Fremont, Indiana, three daughters, Dawn Barnes, Sarah (Terry) Sweet, and Julie Strassburger, all of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ginger Hamann of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 355 E St. Rd. 120, Fremont, Indiana 46737, with Pastor Jeffrey Teeple officiating, there will be one hour of calling prior to the service.

Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Steuben County Cancer Association.
