Leonard Percy Hunter, age 78, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana.
He was born on February 25, 1944 in Itmann, West Virginia to Henry Clay Hunter and Mary Catherine (Jones) Hunter, they preceded him in death.
Leonard was one of fifteen children
He formerly worked for C.L. Shutts a roofing company in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Survivors include his children, Evelyn Kay Groff of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Leonard Mark (Mary) Hunter of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Larry (Cathy) Hunter of Fort Wayne, Indiana, step-children, Barbara (Nick) LaFever of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lindy (Mark) Richter of Angola, Indiana, Rhonda (Tim) Shaw of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Anthony (Robin) Ramer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters, Dorothy Jane Hunter, Betty Ann Hunter, Mabel Rebecca (Jack) Howell, and brothers, William Nathan, Millard Eugene (Kathy), Carl Glenn (Lisa), and George Dwight (Billie).
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith Elaine (Armentrout) Hunter, a son, Leonard Paul Hunter, grandchildren, Joshua Bunch, Gregory Bunch, and Courtney Shaw, a sister, Rosa Marie Streets, and brothers, Jimmy Wayne, Robert Lee, Clarence Roger, Charles Hunter, Joe Arnold, and Eli Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the home of Larry Hunter.
Memorial donations may be directed in care of Heart To Heart Hospice or Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
