Beams Funeral Home

Lois Irene (Bailey) Arnos, age 79, of Angola, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born on January 7, 1945 in Coldwater, Michigan to Geraldine Fry and Jack Bailey. Lois graduated from Coldwater High School in 1963 and went on to achieve her associate degree in business from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She met her husband, Gary Arnos of New Haven, while working at International Harvester. They married in August 1969 and raised their children, Cindy (Tony) Curtland of Garrett, Indiana, Brian (Carrie) Arnos of Tecumseh, Michigan, and Stacey (Tony) Pelliccia of Angola, Indiana. She and Gary were looking forward to their retirement years together before his unexpected passing in July 1998. Lois was strong-willed and feisty, doing things her own way and on her own terms. She was stubborn and smart and didn’t let anyone forget it. She had many friends with whom she spent time over the years; girl’s weekends, golf trips, and casual get-togethers over a bottle (or two) of wine. In addition to spending time with friends, Lois loved reading, word games, her beloved dog Annie, and cheering her favorite sports team, the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue ! She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, Amanda Blakesley, Brenden Dutkiewicz, Brant Arnos, Allison Arnos, Brandan Arnos, Emma Arnos, Bailey Pelliccia, Gracie Pelliccia, and Jack Pelliccia, and four great-grandchildren. They were truly the lights of her life and she was so proud of them all. From calling to check in, to keeping her cookie corner stocked, she made them all feel so loved. Following her wishes a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed in care of the Fremont Public Library (Children’s Program), P.O. Box 616, Fremont, Indiana 46737, or the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
