

He was born on October 23, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Lyle and Wilma (Bieke) Reiff.
Lyle Attended South Side High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, graduating in 1969. He graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in 1974.
He worked for many years with the YMCA in Fort Wayne, Anchorage, and Asaka, Japan, and West Marine in Oakland, California, and recently worked for various banks as a loan originator, in Angola.
Lyle loved the water and was an avid sailor, winning a Trans-Pac Race from San Francisco to Hawaii, and many Inland Cats Races, and Regattas on Lake George.
He was also an experienced scuba diver-PADI instructor, snowboarder, wakeboarder, and Ham Radio operator.
Lyle loved spending winter weekends at Boyne Mountain, also hiking at Pokagon State Park, golfing at Cold Springs, and of course biking and being with his many friends on Lake George.
Surviving are his sisters, Dianne (Joe) Clendenin, Connie Parrott, and Jody DuBois.
A Celebration of Life for Lyle will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Patawotomi Inn, Wig-Wam Room, in Pokagon State Park, 6 Lane 100A Lake James, Angola, Indiana.
