

Margie Ruth Elam Watson, 68, of Fremont, amidst the beauty of spring flowers while gardening at home, our precious wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend joined our heavenly father's garden on May 30th, 2011.
Mrs. Watson and her husband Michael owned Arkwright’s TV & Furniture stores in Angola, Fremont and Butler, Ind., Wauseon Ohio, Sturgis, Mich., and Colville and Chewelah, Wash. She had also worked at Hidden Valley Golf Course.
She graduated from Logan Senior High School in Logan, W.Va., and from Ivy Technical College in Fort Wayne with a degree in accounting and business management.
Mrs. Watson was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Hen Lawson, W. Va.
Surviving are her husband, and soul mate, and inseparable friend of 36 years Michael Edward Watson of Fremont; her children, Tony and Candi Hubbard of Angola, Tim Hubbard of Angola, Darrell and Sharon Watson of Fort Wayne, Anna and Jeff Hoyer of Angola, and Jackie and Rick Nance of Colville, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Shirley Elam Damron of Dallas, Texas, Simms Edward Elam of Fort Wayne, Shelly Elam Conley of Wentzville, Mo., Larry William Elam of Fort Wayne, Carol Sue Elam Hernandez of Angola and Judy Elam Stevens of Angola.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jane Murray of Chicago; her father, William Garrett Elam of Fort Wayne; and her sibling, Kelly Monrol Elam.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Fremont Moose Lodge, 1665 E. S. R. 120, Fremont, followed by sharing of love and memories with family and friends until 3 p.m.
Graveside committal services will be at 4 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Garrett, Ind., corner of South Hamsher Street and West McHenry Street. Both services will be officiated by Pastor Sam Hoffman.
