She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 16, 1956.
Marti graduated from Madison High School, Madison, Illinois. She also attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois for two years.
She enjoyed going to car shows with her family and friends, and making crafts for all to enjoy. Marti enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and having sleepovers with them while watching movies and eating popcorn; she loved her movies. She loved playing board games with the kids and when it would get competitive she would start cracking jokes. Marti was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed her visits to the Temple with all of the Sisters. She loved singing the hymns and one of her favorite things on Sundays was listening to the Primary Children sing. Marti had an infectious personality and for all those that were blessed to know her have said what an inspiration she was to them. She was always smiling and had an upbeat attitude towards life no matter what she was going through. Marti will truly be missed by all who knew her.
