Patricia Ann Penick

She was born in Angola, Indiana to the late Harold and Jean (Emerick) Kaufman.

Pat married Frederick “Fred” Penick on November 26, 1966 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded he in death on August 26, 2023.

She was a graduate of Angola High School and a member of GAA. She graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor in Education then married the boy next door. She went on to get her Masters in Special Education from St Francis in Fort Wayne. She taught for MSD of Steuben for 37 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, neighbors and family. Watching softball and word searches was her favorite past times. She enjoyed the last few years playing bingo, and being surrounded by her friends and family. She was very loved and will be missed by all.

Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Penick-McCarthy of Fremont, Indiana, grandsons, Jason McCarthy, Alexander McCarthy and Ryan McCarthy, and a brother and sister -in-law, Robert “Bob” (B.J.) Kaufman of Griffin, Georgia.

A Service to honor both Pat and Fred Penick will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana. Pastor Joel Greenwood will officiate the service.

Calling will be held prior to the service from 10 am until 11 am at Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana.
