Sandra Lee Schwoebel

She was born on December 14, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harold and Catherine (Theres) Hedgren.

Sandy married Kurt Schwoebel on June 6, 1964. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2011.

She formerly worked as a secretary for Beardsley and Company Advertising Agency in Richland, Michigan and later retired from Millwood United Methodist Church, Portage, Michigan.

She enjoyed helping at the Angola United Methodist Church Food Bank, attended Silver Sneakers at the Angola YMCA, and loved spending time with her family, doing yard work, and attending the Angola United Methodist Church. She also loved her dogs, Fiona and Truman.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Jeff) Wire of Howe, Indiana and Scott Schwoebel of Angola, Indiana, grandchildren, Ali (Jake) Wolfzorn of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jacob (Jenna) Schwoebel of Portage, Michigan, Payton (Abby) Wire and Mason Wire, both of Howe, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Archer and Paige of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sister, Barb Asp of Burbank, Illinois, a brother, Harold “Sonny” (Sharon) Hedgren of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, and a brother-in-law, Mark (Mary) Schwoebel of Burbank, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hedgren and a sister-in-law, Kris Campbell.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Angola United Methodist Church, Angola, Indiana. Pastor Chuck Fenwick will officiate the service. A meal will follow the service.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland, Michigan.
